Programs and Staff Services

The following responsibilities provide the framework under which center staff operate and insure that basic services are delivered in response to local district need and the mission of the Lapeer County Math/Science Center: 

  1. Respond to local district curriculum development and professional development needs and requests.
  2. Provide leadership at the local, regional, and state level to promote the vision for improvement in mathematics and science education.
  3. Coordinate and support existing and new LCM/SC programs and services.
  4. Participate in statewide initiatives to improve student achievement in mathematics and science in collaboration with the Michigan Department of Education, the Mathematics and Science Centers Network, professional organizations, higher education, and other key stakeholders as identified.
  5. Serve as a clearinghouse for information and resources available and provide appropriate levels of communication with local district staff.
  6. Create links with the community, promote collaboration with various stakeholders, and leverage additional resources to support the goals and activities of the center.
