Who We Are
Maple Grove is an Early 5 through 6th grade school in rural
Lapeer County. Our original school was a white, one-room school house that
sat on M-21. The current building was erected in 1964 and has been added
to on two previous occasions. Currently, 18 teachers and support staff numbering
25, serve approximately 500 students.
Maple Grove is one of 10 elementary centers within the Lapeer Community Schools.
We are fortunate to have a lot of parent and community involvement. Our PTA
contributes thousands of valuable hours in the classroom and by fundraising
to provide our learning community with a variety of items and services.
Part of our technology plan this year is to expand our electronic pen pal
program. Is YOUR school interested in corresponding? If so, please contact
the school or acting principal Elaine Loughead for more information.
